Nagarkot Sunrise

Nagarkot is a small village which is about 30 miles away from Kathmandu. It is situated on the northeast side at the elevation of around 6,800 feet, which is above sea level. The place is one of the famous tourist destinations because of the amazing Sunrise. You can easily enjoy the beautiful Sunrise at the hilltop with just a few hours of walk. But trust me; your walk will be worth it when you reach the hilltop.

Your tour basically starts early in the morning when the cold breeze hits on your face while reaching to the hilltop of Nagarkot. But some of the travelers go to Nagarkot in the afternoon and stay in the hotel room, then wake up early in the morning to see the Sunrise. If the weather was clear then you can also get a panoramic view of the snow-capped Himalayan range such as Mt.Everest (8,848m), Manaslu (8,463m), Ganesh Himal (7,111m) and Langtang Himal (7,246m). The reflection of Sunrise early in the morning on these mountains looks majestic that you will find yourselves hours of hours on the hilltop.

Besides that, you can also enjoy the 360-degree side scenery of the green lust forest from the lookout tower in the village. The village is also covered with a cast of different Nepali people when you can get the opportunity to know their culture and lifestyle during your short tour.
