Australian Camp/Dhampus Village

A refreshing and beautiful Australian Camp is a short day hike nearest to Pokhara, which is located in the stunning foothills of the Annapurna. A nice walk from the Kande passes through the dense green forest in the mountains along with the beautiful side scene until we reach to the Australian camp. Your hike will take about two hours at uphill along with one and a half walk on a straight unpaved off-road track. During your hike, you will also get the opportunity to see the spectacular panoramic view of mountains Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South (7219m), Machhapuchhre (699m) and Manaslu range

Australian camp is situated in the hills, so there is a high chance of rainfall during summer. So you can find a more beautiful green forest with birds chirping sound along with lichen. Sometimes, you can find a little bit of a problem because of these lichen while hiking to the Australian camp. So you have to wear proper hiking clothes such as hiking boots, trousers, and a jacket. But you don’t have to worry about the lichen in the camp because the Australian camp is fully free of lichen.
